The absence of a centralized, authoritative view of software utilization emerged as a critical management challenge that limited strategic planning, increased operational risk, and constrained system replacement and modernization initiatives.

Crafting a strategy to tame the overwhelming -- the ADA digital content compliance requirement (US DOJ, April 2026 deadline) -- created lasting operational opportunity. The starting point: nearly 1,800 items on its public-facing website to be addressed, consisting of files in multiple formats created over decades by a variety of users across agency departments. A Transformational Shift: The New Multi-Family Insurance Tracking System

The Multi Family Insurance Tracking (MFIT) system sparked a major breakthrough for the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, replacing thousands of error prone manual entries with a fast, modern platform that tracks commercial insurance in real time. Tasks that once took hours now take minutes. MFIT manages 1,150+ policies across 1,300 properties with exceptional accuracy, and its in house design cut staffing needs by 50%, creating a replicable model for affordable housing agencies nationwide.
