The Empowerment Plan
While we didn’t make it back to the Motor City for our 50th Annual Conference, NCSHA is proud to be raising funds for the Empowerment Plan, a Detroit-based organization working to end the generational cycle of poverty by employing and educating parents experiencing homelessness.
By pairing full-time employment with a wide range of supportive services, the Empowerment Plan has helped dozens of individuals achieve financial stability and independence for their families since 2012.
The Empowerment Plan team produces the innovative, weather-resistant EMPWR Sleeping Bag Coat. These lifesaving coats have been distributed to more than 50,000 people around the globe.
Your contribution in any amount to this fundraiser will support GED classes for and outreach to young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
