Attached is a list of 16 questions the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) published in HUD's online resource center on February 3, 2022, pertaining to the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) and how HAF funds should be used in conjunction with FHA's loss mitigation procedures.
Featured HAF Program: Pennsylvania Homeowner Assistance Fund
The Pennsylvania Homeowner Assistance Fund, or PAHAF, is a housing-related program funded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to assist Pennsylvania homeowners facing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic that began after January 21, 2020, (including a hardship that began before January 21, 2020, and continued after that date). The program will provide financial assistance to homeowners for qualified mortgage and housing-related expenses to avoid delinquency, default, foreclosure, or displacement.
Featured HAF Program: Arkansas Homeowner Assistance Fund
The Arkansas Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) is a federally funded program helping Arkansas residents who are behind on their mortgages, electricity, gas and/or internet payments. HAF offers both Mortgage Reinstatement, which provides funds to eliminate or reduce past due payments and other delinquent amounts, and Utility/Internet/Broadband Payment Assistance, which provides funds to resolve delinquent payments for utility and/or internet access services, to low- to moderate-income homeowners impacted by COVID-19.

This report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office finds that government agencies must significantly improve overseeing of emergency relief funds, including the Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program.
