Elizabeth Glynn

Elizabeth Glynn is the CEO of Travois, a certified B Corporation founded in 1995 that works with Native American, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian communities to build affordable housing and economic development projects in 22 states across the country.

Travois has generated $1.4 billion in housing and economic development in Indigenous communities, helping clients build or rehabilitate more than 5,400 affordable homes. As a Community Development Entity, Travois provides New Markets Tax Credit allocation financing for critical economic development projects, including infrastructure, health care, community centers, education facilities and other businesses to create good, well-paying jobs in often extremely rural communities.

Travois was recognized in 2019 as a ”Best in the World” honoree by the nonprofit B Lab and ranks in the top 10% of all B Corps worldwide, across all six impact areas — the environment, workforce, local communities, suppliers, customers, and corporate governance.

Elizabeth holds a master of business administration from Washington University in St. Louis and graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Elizabeth was recognized by Affordable Housing Finance Magazine as a ”Young Leader” in 2017 and by the Kansas City Business Journal as a ”Women Who Means Business” in 2015. Elizabeth is the chair of the board of Amethyst Place, a transitional home for women and their families in substance abuse recovery, and sits on the board of the Habitat for Humanity of greater Kansas City. She and her husband Phil have three children in elementary school.
