Jeremy Heidt

Jeremy Heidt joined the Tennessee Housing Development Agency in 2016 as its Director of Government Affairs. His division serves as the primary point of contact between THDA and the Tennessee General Assembly, the stateā€™s nine U.S. representatives and U.S. Senators. In 2020, he worked with the legislature to raise the THDAā€™s debt limit to $4 billion. He was appointed to serve on the Nashville Affordable Housing Task Force by Nashville’s Mayor in 2021.

A former business journalist, Jeremy joined state government in 2006. He has previously worked for the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and the Tennessee Department of Health, where he managed communications for more than 15 presidential declared disasters and administered operations for the federal Vaccines for Children program. He served for three years as an appointed leader for the National Emergency Management Association to coordinate with FEMA and the Dept. of Homeland Security on behalf of the states and U.S. Territories.

Jeremy is a graduate of Berea College in Berea, Ky. He and his wife, Brenda, reside in Old Hickory, Tenn., and enjoy spending time with their twelve grandchildren.
