NCSHA Comment Letter on FHA Mortgagee Letter 2021-15

On July 23, 2021, NCSHA sent this letter to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development detailing the impact of its Federal Housing Administration Mortgagee Letter 2021-15, specifically the Advance Loan Modification requirement, on state HFA mortgage revenue bond programs and operations.

NCSHA, COSCDA Letter to Congressional Housing Leaders on Housing Trust Fund Recommendations

On July 29, 2021, NCSHA and the Council of State Community Development Agencies jointly sent this letter to the leadership of the Senate Banking Committee, Housing Financial Services Committee, and House and Senate Appropriations Committees urging programmatic reforms to the Housing Trust Fund program in light of a possible infrastructure funding increase.

NCSHA, Housing Policy Council Letter to Treasury on the Homeowner Assistance Fund

On July 27, 2021, NCSHA and the Housing Policy Council sent this letter urging the U.S. Department of Treasury to publish its long-awaited Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) program guidance and application templates for states to submit their required HAF program plans.

ACTION Campaign Letter to Congress Urging Enactment of AHCIA in Infrastructure, Economic Recovery Package

On July 22, 2021, NCSHA and 24 other members of the A Call To Invest in Our Communities (ACTION) Campaign Steering Committee sent this letter to congressional leadership urging Congress to enact the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act as part of any future infrastructure and economic recovery package.

NCSHA Comment Letter on Treasury Interim Final Rule on Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds

This July 16, 2021, NCSHA letter urges the Treasury Department to modify its May 17 Interim Final Rule to allow grantees to use State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds to develop and support affordable housing in more geographic areas and for a broader range of activities to use FRF for operating assistance, and to use repayments of FRF funds for similar affordable housing purposes.
