Pritzker Administration Awards $55 Million to Improve Housing Accessibility and Stability for Vulnerable Residents

The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) Board announced the conditional award of more than $55.7 million in state and federal resources that will finance the creation or preservation of permanent supportive housing across the state. Awarded under Round VIII of IHDAā€™s Permanent Supportive Housing Development Program, the awards will support the construction and rehabilitation of 10 developments containing 259 units of affordable housing for persons at risk of homelessness, residents with physical challenges or mental health needs, and other vulnerable populations.

Demand for State and Federal Housing Tax Credits Continues to Outpace Allocations

Statewide demand for housing tax credits among developers seeking to build affordable housing rental units for workers, families, and seniors continues to outpace the federal and state resources available in Wisconsin. For the 2022 tax credit award cycle, the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), received applications for 49 housing projects in 37 communities seeking over $49 million in federal and state housing tax credits to create 2,952 rental units with 2,685 designated as affordable.

Murphy-Oliver Administration Announces New Program for Struggling Homeowners

Governor Philip D. Murphy and Lt. Governor Sheila Y. Oliver today announced the upcoming launch of the Emergency Rescue Mortgage Assistance Program (ERMA), administered by the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA). Homeless Continuum of Care to Conduct Point-in-Time Count

On Jan. 26, 2022, the North Dakota Homeless Continuum of Care (ND CoC) will conduct a Point-in-Time (PIT) Count of the people in the state who are experiencing homelessness. ā€œThe data gathered during the homeless continuum of careā€™s PIT count is used to identify strengths and service gaps, increase public awareness, measure progress, and assist local entities with system planning and responses,ā€ said Dave Flohr, North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) executive director.

Hogan Administration Announces the First Catalytic Revitalization Tax Credit Award

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development announced the first recipient of the State of Marylandā€™s Catalytic Revitalization Tax Credit, designed to rehabilitate formerly government-owned properties for economic and community development purposes. The Warfield Companies received a $15 million state tax credit for their ongoing project to redevelop a historic mental health facility and surrounding area in Sykesville into a mixed-use community.
