PHFA Issues RFP for Local Groups to Request Funding for Housing Initiatives

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency today is issuing a Request for Proposals soliciting applications from organizations for projects to improve the availability and affordability of housing across the commonwealth. Funding for this RFP is being provided through the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement (PHARE) Fund. The total PHARE funding available this year exceeds $54 million.

CalHFA Introduces New Program for Native American Homebuyers

CalHFAโ€™s Single Family Lending Division has added another home loan program to its portfolio, helping Native Americans in California become homebuyers through the Department of Housing and Urban Developmentโ€™s Section 184 Indian Home Loan Guarantee Program. The program provides competitive interest and mortgage insurance rates, and can be paired with CalHFAโ€™s MyHome or School Teacher and Employee down payment programs.
