Governor Pritzker Announces Applications Now Open for Nearly $300 Million in Additional COVID-19 Emergency Assistance for Illinois Renters and Landlords

Building on Illinoisā€™ COVID-19 support response for Illinois renters and landlords, the Illinois Housing Development Authority announced that applications are now open for the second round of the Illinois Rental Payment (ILRPP) program, which Governor Pritzker announced on October 27. The reopening of ILRPP will provide an additional $297 million to renters and landlords in an effort to prevent evictions and keep families safe and secure while they regain their financial footing.

Iowa Finance Authority Awards More Than $9 Million to Local Housing Trust Funds to Advance Housing Priorities

The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors today announced the award of a total of more than $9 million in grants to 27 Local Housing Trust Funds to support local housing initiatives. The grant awards are made available through the Local Housing Trust Fund program and are expected to assist more than 2,100 families. ā€œThe 2022 Local Housing Trust Fund awards represent the largest amount allocated through the program for local housing initiatives since the programā€™s inception,ā€ said Iowa Finance Authority Executive Director Debi Durham.

MassHousing has closed on $9 million in financing to Dakota Partners, Inc., to support the development of Phase I of the Woodland Cove affordable rental housing community in Wareham.Ā Dakota Partners is developing the eight-acre site in three phases and Phase I will involve the construction of 63 new rental homes, including seven workforce housing units. Overall, the three-phase development will result in 150 new apartments at Woodland Cove.Ā
