Application Window Opening Soon for $100M Housing Options Grant Program

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency today has posted the final guidelines for the $100 million Housing Options Grant Program that is intended to provide a new affordable housing development tool to PHFA’s existing portfolio of housing resources by making additional money available to create or preserve more affordable rental housing in the state.

HUD Issues Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Proposed Rule

Yesterday, the Department of Housing and Urban Development published the much-anticipated Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) proposed rule, which would implement the statutory obligation HUD and its program participants have to affirmatively further fair housing, as required by the 1968 Fair Housing Act. The proposed rule is intended to build and improve upon HUD’s 2015 AFFH final rule adopted under the Obama Administration.
