State of Maryland Announces Three New Sustainable Communities
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development announced today two towns in Washington County and one town in Wicomico County have been named Maryland's newest Sustainable Communities. With the addition of Boonsboro, Pittsville, and Smithsburg, the State of Marylandโs Smart Growth Subcabinet has designated 126 Sustainable Communities across Maryland since the creation of the program in 2010.
Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program Funds Awarded
North Dakota Homeless Continuum of Care (CoC) with assistance from a Youth Action Board awarded nearly $2 million through the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) to local service providers. The CoC is a communitywide commitment to the goal of preventing and ending homelessness in the state.
