Louisiana Housing Corporation Celebrates National Homeownership Month in June
BATON ROUGE, La. (June 1, 2023) – The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) is pleased to announce its recognition of National Homeownership Month in June 2023. LHC will actively participate in this nationwide celebration by organizing programming and events aimed at empowering Louisiana’s families with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to achieve homeownership.
“At LHC, we are excited to pave the way for more Louisiana residents to fulfill their dreams of homeownership and embrace the opportunities it brings to obtain safe, affordable, and energy-efficient housing regardless of their income or background,” said Executive Director Joshua G. Hollins. “During National Homeownership Month, we proudly offer programs and resources that unlock the doors for families in our communities.”
Throughout June, LHC will host the following events, webinars, and provide online tools on its website to assist families in confidently navigating the homebuying process.
Louisiana Homeownership Think Tank
- An event for federal, state, and local government representatives, housing developers, financial institutions, and public/private partners to share resources that enhance access to affordable and quality housing and expand homeownership opportunities.
- Location: LHC Headquarters – 2415 Quail Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808
- Date: June 1, 2023
- Time: 10 A.M. – 12 P.M.
- An event catering to prospective homebuyers who are interested in learning about the process, programs, and resources offered by LHC related to homeownership. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with industry experts while enjoying food and drinks.
- Location: LHC Headquarters – 2415 Quail Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808
- Date: June 3, 2023
- Time: 9:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
- These courses are designed to provide potential homeowners with key information about the homebuying process. Each course will focus on budgeting, credit management, down payment assistance, low-interest loans, and homebuyer rights.

June 8: 9 A.M. – 12 P.M.
June 24: 9 A.M. – 4 P.M.
June 27: 5 P.M.– 8 P.M.

LHC’s comprehensive homeownership programs are designed to provide resources and support for Louisianians navigating the homebuying process; recognize the significance of homeownership in Louisiana’s communities; and transform the dream of homeownership into a tangible reality for all residents.
