Florida Housing Board Approves $30 Million for Hurricane Michael Impacted Counties

Florida Housing Board of Directors unanimously approved during todayโ€™s board meeting $30 million in HOME funds targeted towards counties most impacted by Hurricane Michael.ย  Florida Housing staff is now authorized to proceed with the development of a RFA for HOME Program financing and authorize the Executive Director to establish a review committee for the RFA to make recommendations for award to the board in May 2019.

FHLBank Pittsburgh and PHFA Announce Home4Good Funding Awards

FHLBank Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) announced today the 2018 Home4Good funding awarded to programs across the state working to reduce homelessness.ย  This year, FHLBank Pittsburgh provided $3 million toward the effort, and PHFA provided $1.5 million, for a total contribution of $4.5 million.

MassHousing to Provide $1.5 Million in Workforce Housing Financing for New Rental Housing Community for Working Families on Cape Cod

MassHousing is providing $1.5 million in affordable housing financing from the Agencyโ€™s Workforce Housing Initiative to support the development of the Village at Nauset Green by Pennrose, LLC. The MassHousing workforce housing financing will allow the Village at Nauset Green, a new, 65-unit, rental housing community being built on a vacant parcel owned by the Town of Eastham, to be entirely affordable, while serving a broader range of working households than would have been possible otherwise.

DCHFA Closes the Month by Funding Two Developments on the Final Day of November

The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA) closed out the month of November with the funding of $23.6 million in financing to create and preserve 138 units of affordable housing in the District. On November 30, the Agency issued $5.5 million in bond financing and underwrote $4 million in four percent low income housing tax credits (LIHTC) for Milestone Senior Housing (Ward 7).

RIHousing Bolsters Housing through Community Development Program

RIHousingโ€™s Board of Commissioners last month approved $200,000 in funding for programs to support homeownership, financial counseling and green infrastructure activities. Funded via the agencyโ€™s Community Development Program (CDP), awards were made to six programs in Woonsocket, Providence and Pawtucket/Central Falls.
