California Housing Finance Agency Announces Accessory Dwelling Unit Financing Pilot Program
The California Housing Finance Agency is partnering with the non-profit Self-Help Enterprises to help alleviate the housing crisis by providing financing for Accessory Dwelling Units in the City of Clovis. Self-Help Enterprises, a community development organization based in the San Joaquin Valley, will use $2.5 million in funding from the California Housing Finance Agency to act as the construction lender for Clovis' Cottage Home Program.
NJHMFA Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for Affordable Apartments for Families in Ocean Township Built With Sandy Recovery Funding
A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the opening of 48 new affordable apartments for families today joined by New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) executive staff, local officials, and representatives of co-developers, The Alpert Group and the Affordable Housing Alliance. Cindy Lane Apartments includes two three-story buildings with one- to three-bedroom apartments, and residents began moving into their new homes in February.
Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development Announces Fiscal Year 2020 Application Round for State Revitalization Programs
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development is announcing the FY20 application round for six State Revitalization Programs - Project C.O.R.E, Community Legacy, Strategic Demolition Fund - Statewide (all non-Baltimore City), National Capital Strategic Economic Development Fund, Baltimore Regional Neighborhood Initiative and SEED: Community Development Anchor Institution Program.
WHEDA Issues $165 Million in Single Family Bonding
The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) has issued $165 million of Home Ownership Revenue Bonds that will be used to fund WHEDA first-time home buyer mortgages. Proceeds are expected to be spent before June 30, 2019, during the heart of the annual spring home buying season. Millennials seeking to buy homes stand to benefit greatly from the Home Ownership Revenue Bonds.
WHEDA Wins Community First Award from Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago
The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA has received a 2019 Community First Award from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBank Chicago) for its financing of the Five Phases of King Drive Commons in Milwaukee. WHEDA Awards $32 Million statewide in Federal and State Housing Tax Credits
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers today announced the award of $24,760,812 in Federal Housing Tax Credits and $7,369,167 in State Housing Tax Credits to fund housing developments across Wisconsin. The tax credits, which are distributed by the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), will move forward 35 developments that will create 2,308 units of rental housing.
