State Releases Results of First Housing Study in 27 Years
Kansas Housing and the state’s Office of Rural Prosperity announced the results of the state’s first comprehensive statewide housing needs assessment undertaken in nearly 30 years. The report’s release marks the culmination of a year-long project to evaluate current housing needs and growth opportunities, including goals to guide future housing development efforts.

Murphy Administration Awards Over $23 Million in Federal Tax Credits
The Murphy Administration announced today it has awarded over $23.1 million in annual 9% federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), which will lead to the construction of more than 1500 new affordable apartments for families, seniors and residents with special needs – helping to build a stronger and more equitable New Jersey. These tax credits are expected to generate approximately $231.4 million in private investment that will finance the construction of 20 developments across 11 of the state’s counties, producing a total of $450 million in new development.
Hogan Administration Announces Nearly $1.6M for Operating Assistance Grants, including Main Street Improvement Awards
Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development Secretary Kenneth C. Holt announced today that $1,580,000 has been awarded for 62 projects in 20 jurisdictions as part of the Operating Assistance Grant awards. This funding will assist local governments, Main Streets and nonprofits with operating and technical assistance costs associated with local housing and community and economic revitalization projects and initiatives.
Hogan Administration Announces $27 Million Local Government Infrastructure Financing Program Bond Issuance
Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development Secretary Kenneth C. Holt announced today that the department has closed on a $27 million bond issuance through the Local Government Infrastructure Financing program. The funding will be used to assist small governments with community improvements and refinancing of existing public debt.
FHLBank Pittsburgh and PHFA Announce 2021 Home4Good Funding Awards
FHLBank Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency announced today the 2021 Home4Good funding awarded to programs across the state working to reduce homelessness. This year, FHLBank Pittsburgh is providing $2.45 million toward the effort, and PHFA is providing $1.5 million, for a total contribution of $3.95 million.

Governor Hogan Announces $10.8 Million in Project Restore Awards to 144 Businesses
Governor Larry Hogan today announced the first round of awardees for Project Restore, a $25 million economic recovery initiative that provides financial incentives for small businesses and commercial developers to revitalize vacant retail and commercial space. A total of 144 businesses in 23 jurisdictions will receive $3.6 million in rental subsidies and $7.2 million in business operations grants over the next two years, totaling $10.8 million in support.
Gov. Evers, WHEDA Announce $1 Million in WHEDA Foundation Grants for Emergency and Extremely Low-Income Housing
Gov. Tony Evers announced today that 34 organizations, from Beloit to Phelps and from Pepin to Grafton, will share $1 million in grants from the WHEDA Foundation as they work to provide emergency shelter, transitional residences, and extremely low-income housing.
