DCA Affordable Housing Tours

Georgia Department of Community AffairsOn Wednesday afternoon, June 12, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs invites registered attendees to participate in a complimentary bus tour of Atlanta properties made possible through the Housing Credit program.

The complimentary tour will be offered 1:00 – 3:00 pm and repeated 3:30 – 5:30 pm. Preregister here (required); space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Attendees will first visit Scholars Landing, a multiphase development by Integral and Atlanta Housing that has transformed the formerly public housing University Homes. Funded by HUD Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grants totaling $30 million, housing tax credits, and low-interest financing, the master development includes market-rate, affordable, and senior housing.

Then, attendees will be transported to Reynoldstown, where Rea Ventures is nearing completion on Madison Reynoldstown. Adjacent to the Eastside Trail of the Atlanta Beltline, Madison Reynoldstown will serve households earning 30 – 80 percent of area median income, providing much-needed affordable housing in a community facing rapid gentrification and high rent growth.

Registered for a tour? Ten minutes before the scheduled departure, meet Georgia DCA staff at the hotel’s Courtland Street entrance (International Level).
