Why: To announce receipt of $6M from the U.S. Department of Housing &
Urban Development for the Delaware Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program.
Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) has received $6 million from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to assist homeowners who are behind in their mortgage due to unemployment, underemployment, or illness. The funds will be managed through DSHA’s existing Delaware Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (DEMAP) to provide foreclosure assistance to homeowners.
