Eligibility Criteria

โ€ข Household income must be at or below 80 percent of AMI.
โ€ข Must have had a COVID-19-related loss of income.
โ€ข Must have a valid lease.
โ€ข Total rent payment must be at or below 150 percent of fair market rent.
โ€ข Must not be a recipient of rental assistance programs such as Section 8.

Administration StructureThe Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) administers the RMRP program through approximately 30 local and regional housing-related agencies throughout the Commonwealth. Virginia Housing has partnered with DHCD to manage landlord-initiated applications.
