Program Description	A new program established to provide financial relief for renters and landlords who have experienced a loss of income resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligibility Criteria	• Household income must be at or below 85 percent of the AMI. Households that qualify for TANF, SNAP, or LIHEAP assistance automatically meet the program’s income requirements. • Household must demonstrate that the COVID pandemic has had an adverse impact on their employment or income beginning on January 20, 2020, or later. Examples may include job layoff due to mandated shutdowns or business closure, job loss, reduced hours of work, inability to work due to COVID-related illness, or lack of childcare. • Household must have missed at least one rental payment on or after April 1, 2020. • Tenant and all members of their household, if applicable, must be legally authorized to be in the United States. • Household must be requesting assistance for their primary place of residence. • Household or landlord must not be a current recipient of any other rental assistance for the months they are requesting KEPP assistance.
