Program Description

A new program established to provide financial relief for government-financed (federal, HFA, or local) rental property owners who have experienced a loss of income resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. A separate DC agency administers a set-aside for the program.

Eligibility Criteria

โ€ข Eligible properties are those financed with HFA, or other federal or local affordable housing funds
โ€ข No limit on household income for participation but must have occupied the unit since March 1, 2020
โ€ข Units with $2,500 maximum rent.
โ€ข Landlord/owner must forgive outstanding back rent not covered by the grant from April 1 through November 30, 2020.
โ€ข Households in covered units must not have been recipients of any other rental assistance program for the months for which assistance is provided under this program
