A new program established to provide financial relief for homeowners who have experienced a loss of income resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligibility Criteria

โ€ข The program is limited to primary home mortgages and borrowers of the mortgage.
โ€ข Mortgage current prior to March 1, 2020.
โ€ข Must demonstrate COVID-19-related impact.
โ€ข Must prove that the owner is ineligible for forbearance or relief through their mortgage lender/servicer or through the DC Hardest Hit Fund program.

  • Mortgage (may include principal and interest)
  • Mortgage insurance
  • Homeowners Insurance (may include hazard insurance)
  • Late fees

Maximum Length of Assistance

Up to 6 months, subject to available funds.

Maximum Assistance Available Per Household

$5,000 per month per household

Household Contribution RequirementsOther
