โ€ข Homeowner income must be at or below 100 percent of AMI.
โ€ข Must be owner-occupant of a dwelling of one or two separate units.
โ€ข Must have become unemployed after March 1, 2020, or had a COVID-19-related income reduction of at least 30 percent.

A new program established to provide financial relief for homeowners who have experienced a loss of income due to circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

โ€ข One to two-adult (anyone over age 23) household income must be at or below $97,646.
โ€ข Three or more-adult (anyone over age 23) household income must be at or below $112,293.
โ€ข Must be the property owner of a one-to four-family property or condominium that is used as a primary residence.
โ€ข Must be currently or previously unemployed or underemployed due to the pandemic and be receiving or had previously received unemployment compensation beginning on March 1, 2020.
โ€ข Must have been current on their mortgage payment as of March 1, 2020, have an original mortgage balance no greater than $820,500, and possess less than $20,000 in non-retirement, liquid assets. Examples include non-retirement, liquid assets such as bank accounts, stocks, bonds, investments, and cash value of life insurance.

โ€ข Must reside in a property consisting of no more than two units, whose mortgage was current as of February 29, 2020, and the balance for which does not exceed $425,000.

โ€ข The home mortgage lender must be willing to accept payments on mortgages that are delinquent or in active forbearance beginning on or after March 1, 2020.

โ€ข Household must demonstrate that the COVID pandemic has had an adverse impact on their employment or income beginning on January 20, 2020, or later. Examples may include job layoff due to mandated shutdowns or business closure, job loss, reduced hours of work, inability to work due to COVID-related illness, or lack of childcare.
โ€ข Household must have missed at least one rental payment on or after April 1, 2020.
โ€ข Tenant and all members of their household, if applicable, must be legally authorized to be in the United States.
โ€ข Household must be requesting assistance for their primary place of residence.
โ€ข Household or landlord must not be a current recipient of any other rental assistance for the months they are requesting KEPP assistance.
