This interim final rule issued by the Department of Housing and Urban Developmentโs Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity and effective July 31, 2021, repeals the 2020 Preserving Community and Neighborhood Choice (PCNC) regulations and reinstates aspects of the 2015 Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing regulations, including certain definitions and certification requirements, that had been repealed by the PCNC rule.
