PHFA will utilize the system to streamline the purchasing process including bid management, bid distribution and vendor relations. bidnet directā€™s Pennsylvania Purchasing Group connects participating agencies from across Pennsylvania and is a single, online location for managing sourcing information and activities.Ā

Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) will host the first Kentucky Affordable Housing Conference in two years Wednesday, September 21, and Thursday, September 22, at the Galt House in Louisville. The previous two conferences were canceled due to COVID-19.

Lt. Gov. Crouch, IHCDA Awards Four Non-Profits $950,000 in Housing First Grants

Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) announced that $950,000 was awarded to four Indiana non-profit organizations to administer the Indiana Housing First Program. The organizations will provide tenant-based rental assistance and supportive services to individuals and households with a serious mental illness or a chronic chemical addiction who are also facing a housing crisis.Ā

PHFA Issues RFP for PHARE Funding to Support Local Housing Initiatives

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency today is issuing a Request for Proposals soliciting applications from organizations for projects to improve the availability and affordability of housing across the commonwealth. Funding for this RFP is being provided through the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement (PHARE) Fund. The total PHARE funding available this year exceeds $45 million.

Johnson Promoted to Senior Director of Operations for MaineHousing

MaineHousing is pleased to announce that Jamie Johnson has been promoted to the position of Senior Director of Operations. Johnson, who joined the agency in 2007, has held a variety of roles within the agency, including most recently serving as the director of planning and operations in the Communications and Planning Department.

Pritzker Administration Relaunches ā€œOpening Doorsā€ Homebuyer Program

Governor JB Pritzker announced the reopening of a homeownership program designed to help working class families and underrepresented communities of color across the state of Illinois. Offered through the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), the Opening Doors or Abriendo Puertas program is designed to aid lower-income borrowers and households of color who have historically faced steeper barriers in their path toward homeownership with $6,000Ā in forgivable assistance for down payment and/or closing costs.

DCHFAā€™s Investment in The Paxton Brings 148 Affordable Units to Ward 7

TheĀ District of Columbia Housing Finance AgencyĀ (DCHFA) financed the construction of The Paxton, 148 affordable apartments in Ward 7. The Agency issued $46.92 million in tax exempt bonds and underwrote $42.02 million in D.C. and federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity for this new construction project.
