NCSHA Urges Senate Confirmation of Frank Cassidy as FHA Commissioner
WASHINGTON, DC — The National Council of State Housing Agencies today urged the Senate Banking Committee to approve President Trump’s nomination of Frank Cassidy to serve as Federal Housing Administration Commissioner and Assistant Secretary of Housing at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
“The Federal Housing Administration is an essential engine that powers affordable financing for homeownership opportunity and rental housing development, and Frank Cassidy is the right person to lead the agency at a time when housing affordability is a pressing concern across the country,” said NCSHA Executive Director Stockton Williams. “Mr. Cassidy’s executive experience in the private sector will be a major asset to HUD Secretary Scott Turner’s leadership team and the nation.”
“As major partners of FHA, state housing finance agencies look forward to working with Frank Cassidy and his colleagues across the administration to lower housing costs and increase housing supply for America’s working families,” Williams said.
