NCSHA Supports Nominations of Frank Cassidy for FHA Commissioner, Joe Gormley for Ginnie Mae President

Published on August 5, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC — The National Council of State Housing Agencies enthusiastically supports the nominations of Frank Cassidy to serve as Federal Housing Administration Commissioner and Assistant Secretary of Housing at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Joseph Gormley to serve as President of Ginnie Mae. Their experience, leadership, and expertise in housing finance are needed and will be tremendously valuable as HUD, Congress, and the nation’s state housing finance agencies work together to expand affordable housing opportunities to as many people as possible in a safe and sound manner. We encourage the Senate to swiftly confirm their nominations.
