NCSHA Calls on Senate to Confirm Joe Gormley as President of Ginnie Mae
WASHINGTON, DC — The National Council of State Housing Agencies today called on the Senate Banking Committee to quickly advance President Trump’s nomination of Joe Gormley to serve as President of Ginnie Mae.
“State housing finance agencies are among the many major participants in the housing finance system that depend on strong leadership at the top of Ginnie Mae, and Joe Gormley will bring it starting on day one,” said NCSHA Executive Director Stockton Williams. “Mr. Gormley’s deep experience in housing finance, policy, and regulation will ensure that Ginnie Mae continues to ensure liquidity to and drive affordability in the housing market.”
“State housing finance agencies look forward to working with Joe Gormley and his colleagues across the administration to lower housing costs and increase housing supply for America’s working families,” Williams said.
