CHFA Announces 2020 Round One Low Income Housing Tax Credit Awards
Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) is pleased to announce the 2020 round one Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) awards. CHFA is awarding $16.1 million in federal 9 percent LIHTC to 14 developments, which will support the construction of 940 affordable rental housing units. These developments will be built in various parts of Colorado including the Denver metro area, northern and southern Front Range, mountain communities, and San Luis Valley.
PHFA Releases PA Housing Study to Inform and Guide Future Housing Decisions
Housing affordability is a growing issue for Pennsylvanians, and renters, low-income households and minorities are disproportionately burdened by housing costs, according to a study shared online today by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. The Pennsylvania Comprehensive Housing Study, produced in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania Department of City and Regional Planning, explores the current status and predicted trends for housing statewide.
MassHousing Awards $700,000 in COVID-19 Relief Funding to 31 Non-Profit Providers of Affordable Sober Housing in Massachusetts
MassHousing has awarded $700,000 in grant funding to bring COVID-19 relief to 31 non-profit providers of affordable sober housing to help ensure their financial stability and continued support services for more than 660 men, women, and women with children working to overcome addiction in 17 communities across the Commonwealth.
Bill Promoting Affordable Housing Passed by Legislature
The South Carolina Legislature has passed House Bill 3998, the Workforce and Senior Affordable Housing Act, creating a state tax credit for qualified affordable housing developments. This tax credit is similar to, and would supplement awards under, the federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit. The bill was signed by Governor McMaster on May 14, 2020.
WHEDA Issues $100 Million in Single Family Bonding
The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) is advancing its ability to provide first-time home buyer mortgages through issuance of a $100 million Home Ownership Revenue Bond. With mortgage rates near historic lows, qualified low- to moderate-income first-time home buyers may find the timing right to purchase a home with an affordable WHEDA mortgage.

FHLBank Pittsburgh and PHFA Speed Allocation of Home4Good Funding to Provide Rapid Assistance to Homeless during Pandemic
FHLBank Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) announced today they will begin quickly disbursing 2020 Home4Good funding in order to provide the fastest support possible for individuals facing homelessness who are struggling during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As they have for the past two years, FHLBank Pittsburgh is providing $3 million toward the effort and PHFA is providing $1.5 million, for a total contribution of $4.5 million.
MassHousing Announces Capital One as Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) Lending Partner for Rental Housing Communities
MassHousing announced today that Capital One will partner with the Agency in its Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) lending program, which allows for an expedited process for the owners of rental housing communities to refinance, renovate and preserve their properties, while extending affordability protections for thousands of low-income individuals, families and senior citizens.

South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) is seeking applicants for the Emergency Solutions Grants Program. The Emergency Solutions Grants Program (ESG) is a federal block grant authorized by the McKinney Vento Homelessness Assistance Act and is funded by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
