Golfers Raise $75,000 for Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute

Colorado Housing and Finance Authority’s (CHFA) annual David W. Herlinger Golf Tournament raised $75,000 for Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute (RMMFI) on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. RMMFI is a Denver-based nonprofit and Community Development Financial Institution that creates the space for communities and people of all backgrounds to realize their unique potential through the power of entrepreneurship.

PHFA Issues RFP to Fund Mixed-Use Development Projects

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency today is issuing a Request for Proposals for new construction, or the rehabilitation, of mixed-use projects seeking financial support. Funding will be provided through the Community Revitalization Fund Program. Mixed-use projects combine residential and retail/commercial space in the same building and often serve as a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization. The deadline for proposal submission is 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.

DCHFA Finances Construction of 108 Senior Apartments on Historic Barry Farm’s Site

The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA) has issued $33.7 million in tax exempt bonds for the construction of 108 apartments in Ward 8’s Barry Farm neighborhood. All units at this mixed-income development recently named The Asberry will be reserved for seniors age 55 or older.

MassHousing Closes on $10.4 Million in Financing to Create New Affordable and Workforce Housing at 25 Sixth Street in Chelsea

MassHousing has closed on a total of $10.4 million in affordable and workforce housing financing to the non-profit The Neighborhood Developers, Inc. (TND). The MassHousing financing will allow The Neighborhood Developers to transform a former light industrial site at 25 Sixth Street in Chelsea into 62 new mixed-income rental and homeownership units, located on the MBTA’s Silver Line near Bellingham Square.

WHEDA Foundation Extends 2022 Housing Grant Deadline to Sept. 15

Organizations throughout Wisconsin that provide emergency shelter, transitional residences, and extremely low-income housing have more time to apply for grants from the WHEDA Foundation with the deadline extension to September 15.
