OHFA Welcomes New Board Member and Staff

COLUMBUS, Ohio) — The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) announced that Sean Campbell has joined the Board representing labor in the construction industry, as well as additions to its staff. OHFA is also proud to share that, Kellie Wolfe; Paul Brooks, Jr.; Grant Miller; DeHavlyn Wainwright, Barbara Richards; and James Kohlberg have joined the OHFA team.

Sean Campbell has worked as a member of Building Laborers’ Local 310 since 1996, where his first 20 years were spent working as a foreman and steward on construction sites in the Cleveland area. As a business agent for Local 310 in 2015, he works extensively with owners, developers, and contractors on projects in the northeast Ohio area. Sean is a delegate to the Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council, the Ohio Laborer’s’ District Council, and the North Shore AFL-CIO. He is also a trustee of the Local 310 pension and health/welfare funds. He was previously a board member for United Way of Lake County.

Kellie Wolfe joins the Office of Multifamily Housing, Program Compliance Division as a new program compliance manager. She most recently worked at Wallick, where she was a regional manager of 16 communities with HOME investment partnerships funding and tax credit allocations. Kellie earned an associate degree in paralegal studies from Zane State College and completed the Real Estate Program at Hondros College.

Paul Brooks, Jr., is the new motor fleet coordinator. After graduating from Mifflin High School, he started at OHFA as a temporary Save the Dream Ohio Homeowner Assistance Fund associate who ensured customer satisfaction and answered inbound calls, including service connections, disconnections, and complaints.

Grant Miller joins the Office of Public Affairs as legislative liaison after spending over two years as a legislative aide for the 72nd District of the Ohio House of Representatives. At the statehouse, he analyzed and compiled legislative research for the drafting of bills with the Legislative Service Commission, created capital budget funding requests, and served as a liaison between different departments, government agencies, and constituents. Grant graduated from the College of Wooster with a bachelor’s degree in urban studies.

DeHavlyn Wainwright is OHFA’s new human resources officer focusing on training, policy, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She previously worked for the city of Columbus Department of Public Utilities where she was a human resources analyst developing and implementing plans and strategies for recruiting better qualified and diverse applicants, reviewing proposed policies to assess their impact on human resources programs, and conducting and coordinating trainings for employees. DeHavlyn received a bachelor’s degree in human development and family science from The Ohio State University. She is currently pursuing an MBA from Franklin University.

Barbara Richards joins the Office of Multifamily Housing as the 4% Housing Tax Credit Section Chief. She previously worked at the Ohio Department of Development where she was the deputy chief of the Office of Community Enhancements, which handled housing grants for federal- and state-funded residential rehabilitations, repairs, weatherization, and new construction programs. Barbara also managed the state of Ohio’s HOME Investment Partnership Program, National Housing Trust Fund, Ohio Housing Trust Funds, and Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery allocations, and launched the Lead Safe Ohio and Welcome Home Ohio. Barbara has 20 years of experience working in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-funded programs. She earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Ohio University.

James “Jimmy” Kohlberg is a new program compliance manager in the Office of Multifamily Housing, Program Compliance Division. Previously, he was the city of Columbus’ property maintenance and inspection supervisor providing supervision, directives, training, and guidance to direct reports. James received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from The Ohio State University.
