KHC Releases Three-Part Podcast Series About Permanent Supportive Housing

FRANKFORT, Kentucky — Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) has released the latest episode of Bringing It Home with KHC, the podcast dedicated to affordable housing issues in the Commonwealth. This is the second installment in a three-part series about permanent supportive housing (PSH) and the Supportive Housing Institute, an intensive training led by the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) for developers and supportive service providers looking to secure funding for the creation of PSH facilities.

The first episode, released May 20, featured Leah Werner, director of the Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee team at the Corporation for Supportive Housing, discussing the Institute’s role in permanent supportive housing in Kentucky.

The latest episode features Ra’Shann Martin, executive director of the St. John Center, who attended the Institute during the development of Sheehan Landing, an 80-unit permanent supportive housing facility designed to address the needs of individuals with complex disabilities. Sheehan Landing opened in March.

The third episode, featuring Julie Wischer, executive director of Elevate in Henderson, will be released June 2.
