Job Description:
Florida Housing Finance Corporation is recruiting for a business professional to join our team as a Policy Manager who is not only passionate but also adept at navigating complex systems and driving meaningful change. In this role, you will help lead multifaceted projects, conduct comprehensive program analysis, and develop strategic tools and resources tailored for Florida’s diverse housing programs.

Your responsibilities will span project management, policy and program development, and in-depth policy research that includes data analysis and preparing comprehensive reports. Additionally, this position will assist in rule development, score competitive applications, and provide staffing support for external workgroup meetings—all while advancing policies that address the nuanced challenges of urban planning, housing, and local governance.

Position Requirements:
The successful applicant will have:

  • Graduated from an accredited four-year college or possess 2-3 years of related experience or training.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and have the ability to summarize complex policy issues.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, capable of working independently, and able to manage multiple and varied projects with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software is essential.
  • Experience with research activities.
  • Knowledge of federal and state housing policies and an understanding of urban and regional planning.

This is an in-person position in the Tallahassee office of Florida Housing Finance Corporation. We do not offer remote work options.

Salary and Benefits:
The anticipated hiring salary is $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Florida Housing provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, dental, vision, short and long-term disability insurance, and other miscellaneous programs. Paid vacation, sick and personal leave; 11 paid holidays; and 401/457 retirement accounts.
