NCSHA Welcomes Scott Turner as HUD Secretary

WASHINGTON, DC — The National Council of State Housing Agencies congratulates Scott Turner on his confirmation today as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. We look forward to working with him to increase the supply of and access to affordable housing throughout the country. Secretary Turner’s experience in the White House and Texas legislature will help him address the challenges at HUD and in Washington, DC.

NCSHA and its member state housing finance agencies look forward to continuing our longstanding, strong, and productive partnership with HUD under Turner’s leadership. Our top priorities will be to work with Secretary Turner and his team to increase the supply of affordable housing, help home buyers purchase their homes, and maintain and improve HUD’s key housing assistance programs.

NCSHA and its members stand ready to work with Secretary Turner to continue to address the serious affordable housing challenges our nation faces today.
