OHCS Launches “A Path Forward,” an Annual Report Highlighting Significant Statewide Housing Outcomes in 2022

SALEM, Ore. — Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) releases the 2022 Annual Report, “A Path Forward”, to show and highlight outcomes that have been achieved throughout the state to meet the housing needs of Oregonians living on low to moderate incomes.

“While we have made measurable progress to increase access to affordable housing and supportive housing services, we recognize there is still significant work to do to ensure everyone’s basic needs are met,” says OHCS Director, Andrea Bell. “In this moment, we cannot have anyone on the sidelines. We cannot afford to go backward. We have to step up now.”

As the state’s housing agency, OHCS works across the housing continuum to help reduce poverty among Oregonians and increase access to safe, stable and affordable housing. 2022 was a pivotal year in many respects, with the winding down of pandemic era programs that also opened new areas of work for the agency. There was also a growing momentum around addressing the housing crisis and challenges throughout Oregon.

The 2022 OHCS Annual Report details how the agency, working closely with partners throughout the state, is creating a path forward so that tangible progress is made to meet the housing needs of Oregonians. This includes key data points, community stories, accomplishments, and challenges the agency continues to address.

You can read the executive summary and full report on the OHCS website.
