Veronica DePotty

Veronica has more than twenty years of experience in executive leadership positions within the nonprofit sector. She focuses on guiding, empowering, and motivating individuals to reach their full potential. Veronica’s career includes various roles, notably a decade-long position at a HUD-approved housing counseling agency. Her expertise extends to other HUD programs including Homeless, HOME funded Community Development, Multi-Family Housing, Blight, and Single-Family Rehab. Currently, she holds the position of Housing Education Program Specialist at the Homeownership Division of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. In this role, Veronica serves as the primary liaison and grant manager for HUD, overseeing a network of HUD Housing Counseling Agencies in Michigan. She is a frequent speaker for HUD and NCSHA on Housing Counseling and has been featured in numerous state and national media outlets, including U.S. News & World Report and Investopedia. Additionally, Veronica provides technical assistance on behalf of HUD’s Office of Housing Counseling for programs nationwide, including support for other State Housing Finance Agencies. Beyond her professional engagements, Veronica is a Chaplain, a committed homeschooling parent, and a strong advocate for neurodiversity.
