Vihar Sheth

Vihar Sheth is the Managing Director of Affordable Housing at U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance. Vihar leads a team of 140+ individuals who originate and manage investments and loans that produce affordable rental housing across the country. Impact Finance is an active investor and lender in the affordable housing sector under the IRS Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC). In addition to LIHTC, Impact Finance makes tax credit-based investments using Historic, New Markets and Alternative Energy credits nationwide.

Vihar joined U.S. Bank in 2003 and spent his first four years as a Project Manager underwriting and closing affordable housing transactions. In 2008 he joined the business development team, responsible for the origination of affordable housing investments and loans. He most recently served as the Director of Business Development for debt and equity.

Prior to joining U.S. Bank, Vihar worked in the financial services industry and for an urban redevelopment nonprofit. He holds an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.S. in industrial engineering and management sciences from Northwestern University. He is a past board member of the St. Louis Equity Fund, a current board member of the Tower Grove Community Development Corporation and President of the Board for the Affordable Housing Investors Council, and an active member of the affordable housing tax credit community.
