Denise Muha

Denise Muha serves as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for the National Leased Housing Association (NLHA). She advocates on behalf of NLHA’s 400 member organizations on issues related to the preservation, provision and operation of federally assisted housing across the nation.
Muha was a key player in the development of landmark housing legislation that addressed the preservation of over 1.5 million units of affordable housing developed under the Section 8 program and consistently represents the views of NLHA’s members on Capitol Hill and at HUD.
Muha serves on the Advisory Boards of the Assisted Housing Management Insider and Tax Credit Insider and the Value Advisor Fund. She also is a director on the Bollinger Foundation board and the NLHA Education Fund board. She was inducted into the Affordable Housing Finance Hall of Fame in 2019.
