Melanie Shapiro

Melanie Shapiro joined Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) in 2000 and is OCCH’s Director of Compliance and Training. Ms. Shapiro has specialized experience in compliance with Section 42, HOME, Fair Housing and Section 504, and HUD Section 8 regulations. She is currently active with the Ohio Housing Finance Agency Compliance Advisory Committee and the Midwest Affordable Housing Management Association. In addition to providing compliance oversight, Ms. Shapiro assists with the Affordable Housing Training Academy. Ms. Shapiro is certified as an Assisted Housing Manager, Fair Housing Specialist, National Affordable Housing Professional Executive, Certified HOME Program Specialist – Rental Housing Compliance, Specialist in Housing Credit Management, Blended Occupancy Management Specialist, and Housing Credit Certified Professional. She also holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from The Ohio State University.
