Melissa Corbett

Melissa J. Corbett began working at Kentucky Housing Corporation, (KHC) in 1994. She has held various positions within the Project-Based Rental Administration (PBRA) program over the course of 29 years and is currently PBCA Assistant Director for the program. She was the PBCA Asset Manager on the MOR Travel team where she worked for 14 years before accepting the Assistant Director position in October 2022. She also was the Senior Compliance Specialist for 13 years. Prior to joining KHC, she held management level positions in property management and real estate development & sales. Melissa has had her Kentucky Real Estate license since 1981. Melissa attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington and completed courses through Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and obtained her “CPM” designation. She has obtained the Certified Occupancy Specialist certification, Housing Compliance Manager-HUD certification, Fair Housing Coordinator (FHC) certification and completed Housing Quality Standards coursework. Melissa completed the “Leadership Program” through Kentucky Housing Corporation University (KHCU). She attends a variety of meetings and conferences each year such as the Contract Administrators Panel for Regulatory Partners, SAHMA, and others regarding contract administration. She serves as her IREM Kentucky – West Virginia Chapter’s President and is member of the Affordable Housing Advisory Council.
