Lisa Watson

Lisa is the heart and energy behind Virginia Housing’s people strategy, serving as Managing Director of Human Resources for the past 6 years. With more than 30 years of leadership experience across both public and private sectors, she knows a thing or two about building teams, growing talent and creating workplaces where people thrive.

She has a B.A. from Capital University, an MBA from The Ohio State University, and a J.D. from Capital University Law School—where she focused on labor and employment law and alternative dispute resolution, blending her love of learning with her passion for people.

When she’s not leading HR or shaping the future of Talent Development, Lisa can be found surrounded by her pack of four dogs (plus four grand-dogs), proving she’s just as skilled at managing chaos at home as she is at work.
