Caleb Yant

Caleb Yant is Deputy Director of Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS), a role he has held since 2020. As Deputy Director, Mr. Yant lead teams at OHCS who oversee program administration and related administrative operations. During this time OHCS has tripled in staff and funding while also operating as the lead agency in recovery programs for emergencies including emergency orders on unsheltered homelessness, underproduction of housing, and devastating wildfires. For the prior six years was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at OHCS. As CFO, Mr. Yant helped lead legislative advocacy and business line development efforts resulting in budgetary growth of more than 85%. Mr. Yant also led efforts helping OHCS to ensure long-term fiscal sustainability, improve fiscal and program transparency, integrate systems, and improve processes. Prior to this role, Mr. Yant ran the Oregon Affordable Housing Assistance Corporation, a nonprofit that administers federal foreclosure prevention funds from the U.S. Department of Treasury. His career experience also includes eight years working as a senior finance manager in higher education providing extensive experience in regulatory compliance, accounting, and finance. Mr. Yant holds a Master of Business Administration degree with emphasis in Technology Management as well as a Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in Accounting.
