George Maestas

George Maestas is the Director of the Housing Development department of the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (Housing New Mexico / MFA). The department provides developers of affordable housing with Low Income Housing Tax Credits and gap financing, for the new construction and/or rehabilitation of housing for low-to-moderate income households. In addition to the eight years he has worked with Housing NM, George has over 21 years of banking experience, with the last 15 in commercial lending. Through his work with Housing New Mexico, George has developed a passion for his role in providing affordable housing throughout the State of New Mexico.
