Aulii Taitano

Aulii Taitano, Executive Director, joined Morgan Stanley in September 2024 and has 26 years of municipal finance experience, the majority of which she has spent covering HFAs and other housing issuers. Aulii brings deep HFA credit insight to our team, having spent 12 years as a Director and Lead Analyst at S&P Global Ratings (S&P) prior to joining Morgan Stanley. She has performed detailed credit analyses on HFA programs and issuer credit ratings, authored criteria covering HFA and federally enhanced programs, and published various commentaries on the HFA sector. Before her role at S&P, Aulii owned an independent municipal advisory firm for several years and was previously an investment banker for 9 years in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s national housing group, where she senior managed approximately $4 billion of bonds for HFAs across the nation. Aulii holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Entrepreneurship from Babson College.
