Peter Pagonis

Peter Pagonis joined RIHousing in 2013 as Lender Services Manager and was appointed Director of Homeownership in 2015. In this role, he oversees the corporation’s Homeownership origination activity, foreclosure prevention programs and homebuyer education efforts.

Prior to joining RIHousing, Mr. Pagonis worked as a Business Development Advisor with the United States Peace Corps in León, Nicaragua. Mr. Pagonis has held various positions in banking, including Corporate and Investment Banking Associate at FleetBoston Financial, Loan Officer at Bank of America and an Assistant Vice President at Bank Rhode Island.

Mr. Pagonis received a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Lawrence University. Mr. Pagonis served for nine years as a Director of the Rhode Island Mortgage Bankers Association and holds the Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) and Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designations.
