Michael Handley

Mike started at NCHFA as a Housing Rehabilitation Officer in September 2000. He has served the Agency as a Housing Rehabilitation Officer, Senior Housing Rehabilitation Officer, Lead Senior Housing Rehabilitation Officer and currently as Manager of Home Ownership Rehabilitation & Compliance. Prior to that, he worked as the Assistant Director of Planning and Development for the Eastern North Carolina Sustainable Community Economic Development Center. Mike has decades of government funded housing rehabilitation experience. He also worked a variety of positions from Carpenter’s Assistant in our NC mountains to the Assistant to the Secretary for the United States Information Agency for the US Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria.
