Sarajane Steffes

Sarajane Steffes is a Senior Project Leader at National Church Residences, dedicated to expanding and preserving senior housing opportunities across Ohio. With expertise in navigating complex tax credit transactions from inception to completion, she has played a pivotal role in growing National Church Residences’ housing portfolio. Currently, the organization owns and manages more than 100 communities and 8,000 housing units statewide.

Over the past four years, Sarajane has been instrumental in adding over 700 units of affordable senior housing in Central Ohio, driving more than $190 million in investment in the community. Her ability to manage multi-source financing and intricate development processes has been key to advancing the organization’s mission.

Beyond her work at National Church Residences, Sarajane is committed to fostering diversity and leadership in the affordable housing sector. She serves as a board member of the Ohio Women’s Affordable Housing Network (OWAHN), an organization dedicated to empowering and developing women in the industry through partnership, networking, advocacy, and community engagement.
