Sherri Davio

Sherri Davio is a seasoned finance and affordable housing professional with over 30 years of experience in policy development, compliance administration, and training for state and federal housing programs. She is the founder and CEO of Davio Consulting, LLC, a firm that supports affordable housing initiatives by integrating financial expertise, regulatory knowledge, property development experience, and technology-driven solutions. Sherri has worked extensively with government agencies, property owners, public housing authorities, and industry professionals in Michigan and across the country. Her background includes serving as Director of Compliance at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) and most recently as a financial specialist in HUD’s Detroit Field Office within the Office of Public Housing and Voucher Programs. Sherri began her career by working with a multifamily developer and still maintains a passion for all phases of housing from development to management.
Sherri’s work spans a wide range of housing programs, including LIHTC, HOME, Bond, Section 8, PBRA RAD, and Housing Trust Fund. At Davio Consulting, she continues to support all aspects of affordable housing from development to management, including financial administration and tenant file reviews. Her strategic partnership and collaboration with Kismet Software’s Compliance Management System reflects her ongoing commitment to practical, technology-based tools that improve regulatory compliance and operational efficiency in housing management. Sherri holds a B.A. in Financial Administration from Michigan State University.
