Caroline Iosso

Caroline Iosso has a decade of experience working on housing and homelessness policy, research, advocacy, and communications. Currently, Caroline is a Senior Program Associate on the Opening Doors to Housing team at the Vera Institute of Justice. In this role, she works with state legislatures and housing finance agencies to promote housing access for people with conviction or arrest histories.

Before joining Vera in 2024, Caroline worked at a family shelter provider in New York City, where she conducted and shared research on how to improve systemic support for families with children experiencing homelessness. Previously, she led advocacy and communications at a workforce development nonprofit. Caroline has also worked as a fair housing advocate in Brooklyn and a shelter caseworker in Colorado.

Caroline holds a BA in geography and Latin American studies from Vassar College and an MPA from New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
