Tresa Civil

Ms. Tresa M. Civil, the Director of Information Technology for the Community Development Block-Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program at the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority, is a leader in managing technical projects. In this role, she oversees IT operations, ensures efficient technical support, and safeguards data and network security. Her leadership has been crucial in aligning IT solutions with CDBG-DR objectives, implementing robust systems, and enhancing IT processes to support disaster recovery initiatives.

With over 20 years of experience in technology, Ms. Civil has distinguished herself through her contributions to creating resilient IT infrastructures across various government and private sectors within the United States Virgin Islands. She holds dual Master of Science degrees in Project Management and Management Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology. Additionally, she is a Certified Public Manager and a respected Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. member, actively serving in the Mu Gamma Omega Chapter in St. Croix.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Civil is dedicated to community service and fostering her creative interests. An engaged sports mom, she participates actively in sports and the rich Moko Jumbie culture with her son. Ms. Civil also utilizes her expertise to promote cultural awareness and create safe, enjoyable platforms for children to express themselves, both locally and internationally, through her travels.
