Sara Hernandez

Sara Hernandez is a Senior Assistant for the Build America, Buy America Act in the Office of Community Planning and Development. Sara is a subject matter expert in implementation of the Buy America Preference across CPD programs. In her role as Senior Assistant, Sara coordinates with the HUD Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Management and Budget, and other federal agencies to develop guidance and IT reporting systems for CPD stakeholders.

Sara previously served as Deputy Director in the Office of Affordable Housing Programs, Relocation and Real Estate Division. She brings over 17 years of experience in policy development and technical assistance for cross-cutting requirements applicable to CPD programs.
