Stuart Nicol

As an Associate Director on the Housing team, I mainly cover Housing Finance Agencies as well as Social Housing Providers and a nationwide portfolio of Military and Section 8 Housing issuers. Department wide, I have acted as a subject matter expert on the LIBOR transition, derivatives and financial disclosure requirements. I am also the lead on a cross-sector team of analysts that ensure data sufficiency standards for ratings remain consistent.

Before joining the Housing team, I covered Local Governments throughout our central region and was the portfolio lead for Tennessee. Prior to S&P Global Ratings, I was an associate in the Treasury and Capital Markets group with Kaufman Hall where my main focus was structuring and valuing derivatives.

I am currently an active member of Chicago Municipal Analyst Society, the National Federation of Municipal Analysts working group on the Financial Data Transparency Act and have served as President of the Chicago Swans Australian Football Club since 2016.

I graduated from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia with bachelor degrees in Law as well as Commerce, with a major in Finance.
